Esther Mason Obituary
Born in Toccoa to the late Chelcer and Ida Bell Walker, Esther was a longtime member of Christian Life and ran a daycare from her home for over 30 years.
She is survived by her husband, John Clayton Mason, children Joyce Mason, John Mason (Marcia), and Brenda Cheatham (Bob), brother Jerry Walker (Janie), grandchildren Sheena Moro (Grant), Lindsey Mason, and Alisha Mason, and great-grandchildren Kaiya and Clayton Beusse.
The family will receive friends Sunday, February 1, from 3-5 PM at Lord and Stephens East.
Funeral service will be held Monday, February 2, at 11:00 at Crossroads Community Church with Rev. Morris Sapp officiating. Burial will follow at Colbert Cemetery.
Lord and Stephens, East is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs Mason, known as momma mason babysat my son Brandon years ago when he was small and over the years always asked about him. She was a wonderful neighbor and loved talking with her over the years. She was a special friend and she will be missed by so many.

We are sad to learn of Mrs. Mason's passing. She was a good friend and neighbor to our family both when he was a child and when we had our own children. It was a Christmas tradition, even after we moved, to go and see her nativity display. We always enjoyed visiting with her. Our love and prayers for strength in the coming days are with her family.
