Frances Bowers Obituary
A native of Athens, GA, Fran was the daughter of the late Homer C. Dotson and Sylvia P. Dotson. She was preceded in death by her son, Donny Allen; grandson, Ty Reed; husband, Tom E. Bowers, and Asa Lee Allen, her first husband and father of her children.
Mrs. Bowers retired from Westinghouse-ABB and was a member of Watkinsville First Christian Church.
Mama is survived by her children, Caren Allen (Tim) Reed of Social Circle, Connie Allen (Randy) Peterman of Watkinsville, Amelia Bowers Thompson of Hartwell, Danny Lee Allen of Colbert and Douglas (Becky) Allen of Danielsville. Grandmama leaves behind Daren Reed, Scott Reed, Trasa Peterman, Trent Peterman, Michelle Sanders, Tabatha Freeman and Tommy Thompson, as well as 12 treasured great-grandchildren.
No formal service will be held. The family will receive friends between 4:00 and 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Lord and Stephens, WEST, 1211 Jimmy Daniel Road, Watkinsville, GA 30677.
