Happy Easter Biggie, I Love you.
Last year we did our same trditon we went to your brothers (Bro. Fowler) and had easter dinner and spent time with family, But something was different and we didnt really relize it till to weeks latter when you left us. You slept all day that day in the recliner you never did that there. Only at home. You felt bad that day but I took care of you.
This Easter was very different for me wiht out you. I missed you so much.I didnt go to the Fowlers all though I could have, I just did my own thing this year. You always helped in the candy rain at church and help the kids get candy.I missed seeing you helping the kids find eggs and even finding one for yourself. I love you and miss you so much.As it gets closer to a year that you left I remember you and everything we use to do even more. I LOVE YOU BABY,and just wish i could see, and hold you one more time.
Your wife,

Happy Valentines baby.I miss you so much.I read all of our old cards and notes we gave each other once again last night like I often do.People say its better to have loved and lossed then to have never loved at all and i guess that is true.I would not trade a single second i had with you.If I had only known I would have held you in my arms forever. You may be gone for this earth but never will you be gone from my heart and my life.In Some ways I believe I love you more then I ever have because some things we take for granted and your love was true and should have never been.We loved each other so much and every one knew that.It was no secret what we had,it was for ever.Love and miss you baby.

I loved Roggermore than any one would ever know. He helped me in many different ways. He tought me a lot about building and remoldering houses. when he lived behind the church he asked me one day how much would I charded him to cut the grass arould the trailer? I new that he had just got a job and was still trying to get on his feet. So I told him that I would cut it for nothing when I do the church grass. He agreed to it. A lot of times when we would go out to eat after church he would walk by the table and pick up the check and say "I will take care of this." Another time when I was datting Reney she came down unexpected and all I had was A coulpe of dollars. So I asked Brother Roger cuold I borrow $10 dollers so we could go to mcdonalds. He ended up giveing me $30 and we ended up at the huddle house with the rest of the church.Brother Roger was a quiet person but he would do anything for any body if he know that you realle need it.
Tina you had a wounderful hubson. He was truiley a famley man. If there is anything you need please let me know and I will do my best to get it for you. Love your brother in Christ Jimmy C King

Roger was a great guitar player. I sure do miss him at church and at choir practice.
He was also a great friend and liked to help people. He told me what to do to unstop my sink and later on my bathtub.
After my Aunt Delia died, he bought my supper at the waffle house. He said it was the least that he could do.
It will never be the same without him, but Heaven is a better place than here on this earth and I want to go there someday, too.

One of mine & Rogers best days!
Roger was a guitar man.
He played in Billy's gospel band .
He backed up his brother with rhythms & lead, while singing sweet hymn's & harmony's.
Carpenter by trade like unto his savior, driving nails in wood went most of his day's.
With brothers by his side teaching them the trade, brick, block & wood is what we used all day.
I asked him one day at an early age how to build a house & how he made it all come together.Step by step he said all day.
A tight line, a stright cut, flush, square & plumb was best on how to build a house & how to make it stand the test.
Fishing & hunting he loved somewhat, but playing his guitar for Jesus is what he loved a lot.
A hammer, & bend a slide, he played skillfully before the master and took great pride
He played his heart and then rest, as he stood before Gods people in his sunday best.
A friend a brother he will always be, he tought me how to run when i was 3,down the Georgia hillside we would go, faster than lighting if you asked me at 3.
His hand in mine ,pulling for more,
barefooted & breathing hard with me in tow, I asked him how I was doing, he said your running a great race.

Had a chance to go up to Helen and fish a little the other day, and couldn't help but to think of my friend Roger.
It was something we had always talked about doing, but never did.
Just him being on my mind, I guess in a way we finally did it.
Thanks Roger for the memories. We all miss you.

Uncle Rog,
It's been a month today since you left us, and it still seems so unreal. I still can see your smile and hear your voice. Sometimes when I sit and think about you I have such a heavy heart but at the same time, I am happy because I know you are finally happy. You are where you strived to be....at home with Jesus. Rog, I just miss you so much...I wish that I could feel you hug me and hear you tell me that you love me just one more time. We seem to take our loved ones for granted and if I had only known that Tuesday morning when I talked to you was going to be the last time I heard your voice, I would have kept you on the phone for hours. If there was ever anyone that impacted my life, it was you. Far more than you will ever know. Thank you for everything you gave me....your friendship, your love, your advice..(even though sometimes it wasn't wanted) =)I trust that you are happy and rested....that's just what you wanted...
I love you soo much and miss you soo much....
Your Niece,
Karla

Pa-Pa Roger;
Roger was not only my grandpa but the best man i had ever met in my whole entire life besides my daddy who i must say is exaclty like his dad my papa-Roger. Papa-Roger has been there for me and my brother Will since the day we were born. He is such a sweet person and if you didnt know him lord have mercy you sure did miss out on someone who was loving, sweet, had this special little laugh that just brings a tear to my eyes now, when i think about it, not just that he loved his fishing, i remeber him takin me n Will fishing one summer at the lake and me getting my hook caught on his ear, it was awful but so funny. He took me and my daddy, and Will and Tina all to Helan Georgia just about every year to go tubin in that COLD water and fising but it was SOOO much fun. && the day Tina and him got married, it was so pretty i remember everything about it. but when i got older and school and working i quit calling as much and going to Georgia too see him and Tina and i regret that so much! i miss him SOO much, if i could do it all over again i would have visited more because until i lost my Papa-Roger i never knew what it was like to loose someone becasue i never had but now i know and i cherish everyday i live on Earth. Christmas and Birthdays were the best though because Tina and Papa would come down to Anderson and we would all just sit around and papa would play the guitar and always wanted him to play good ole "sweet home Alabama" he played it so good and he even sang with it! It was wonderful. BUt i will miss Papa until i get to see him again and i KNOW he knows how much and i love him and i am very greatfull for Tina who i LOVE very MUCH...i will miss him so much but he knows i think about him everyday and when i go to heaven one day we will all go fishing just like he said were.
I LOVE YOU PAPA-ROGER & I MISS YOU SO VERY MUCH!

The Golden Guitar
God walked through the gates of heaven on the sparkling streets of gold. He visited the heavenly choirs and noticed a vacant chair with a gold guitar strap draped over it. Nearby rested a golden guitar on a cloud.
God looked to the earth over the guitar players. There was one who stood out from the rest. He once had played for worldly entertainment until he gave himself over to God, and began to play for the church.
"I'm sorry," God wispered to his wife. "I'm sorry," He said again to his family and friends. "I need him for my heavenly choir," He said to the church. God led Roger through the gates of pearl and showed him the vacant chair with the gold guitar strap and the golden guitar floating on it's cloud.
Roger sat in the chair, smiled as he picked up the golden guitar and attached the gold strap to it. He gently crossed his feet, looked toward the angels and began to pick the golden guitar, adding it's melody to the rest of the heavenly choirs.

Roger was the best man I ever knew. He treated Tina the best and I will always love him for that. He was very generous and loved helping others. I will truly miss him and I hope he knew this all.

I met Rog not long ago and from that day forward he accepted me based on my character and my actions and not the color of my skin. He was a Man of God and he lived as such. Rog was a simple Man and an awesome " no pick" guitar player(I'll miss hearing you Rog), he loved his family and friends and always was willing to lending a hand. Rog did for others and never ask for anything in return. Rog will never leave us because we keep his memories alive in our hearts and minds. Thanks Rog for being my friend....Hey brother how sweet is the sound up there? I see you now with your legs crossed at the ankles and playing that guitar...Thanks Rog for touching my life!

I was blessed to have known Rog...other than my uncle, he was my friend. I loved to hear him play the guitar and just to hear him laugh was amazing. He left a void that cannot be filled by anyone else. Tina, things will be ok. You have your family and friends who will be here for you. Rog would have wanted you to go on and be happy. Remember, he's in a better place now...no more pain and no more suffering. I love you Uncle Rog....
