William Kaminski Obituary
Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of William Kaminski and Sandra J. Weaver. Will was always willing to lend an ear & offer kind words of support, traits he received from his mother. He was polite & mindful of his manners, values instilled by his father at a young age. Will loved those around him & treasured the small moments that bring people together. Whether he was playing various board, table-top, and video games with friends or debating seemingly insignificant aspects of pop culture with his younger brother, Will wore a proud smile and was alway open to new thoughts & ideas.
Never ignorant in getting goals accomplished, Will was an intelligent & talented man full of compassion. Adorned with accolades throughout his entire life, Will never stopped improving upon the terrific friend, brother, son, and human being he already was. With a mind developed for strategy, he excelled in all of his pursuits: his high school career at Athens Academy, his time learning chemistry at the University of Georgia, his care taking of Athens Montessori School, his education to become a Registered Nurse at Athens Technical College, and his nearly seven years of employment at Athens Regional Medical Center. Will is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Stanley and Frances Kaminski.
Survivors in addition to his parents include his stepmother, Janine Kaminski; stepfather, Steven Weaver; his maternal grandparents, John and Delores Denero; one brother, Alexander Kaminski; two stepsisters, Crystal Weaver and Sharon Walker and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins.
Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Lord and Stephens, East. The family will revise friends prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Lord and Stephens, East is in charge of arrangements.

I got to know Will through a handful of game nights and Card family events over the past 15 years. He was always bright, animated, and exceedingly sweet and patient with the kids. Our hearts are broken for the loss to family, friends, and for everyone who had the chance to know him. He will be incredibly missed and always remembered for his gentle spirit, kind soul, and full-hearted laughter.
