Joann Meyer Obituary

Meyer, Joann B., 85, went to be with the Lord, October 26, 2010 in Placentia, CA. She died peacefully from advanced dementia, with family members by her side. Born in Schenectedy, New York, June 21, 1925 to James and Henrietta Gavett, the family moved to Minneapolis, where Joann was raised with her siblings James and Virginia. Their mother died when Joann was only 6; they were then blessed to be raised by their step-mom, Rose. A veteran, Joann served in both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Air Force. Her first job was with Honeywell in Minnesota and she spent many years in service for the government, including the State of Rhode Island, the City of Los Angeles, the LAPD, the Riverside County Sheriff's Dept, and the State of Oregon, but the majority of her career was in banking, from which she retired in 1994. Joann was preceded in death by her father, mother, step-mother and brother, as well as her granddaughter, Crystal Rose. She is survived by her three children, Lisa Costello, Mark Meyer and Robin Stafford, and her grandson, Jonathon Michael Hand. Services will be held Thursday, November 4, 2pm at Eastside Christian Church in Fullerton, CA. For further info, visit www.mcaulaywallace.com McAulay & Wallace Mortuary

Mommy,
I miss you so bad. Lisa doesnt miss you anymore - she is with you. I am alone. I hate it. It is not easy living without my mom and now my sister. It is so painful. Every day is painful. I cant wait to see you two again. ❤ [sigh]

So, apparently your daughters are in sync, now. We're both missing you GOBS right now. Maybe it's because it's coming up on 3 years. Maybe it's just because we're both babies and still need our mommy. Or maybe it's because you're the best mommy in the world and you are very, VERY loved.
My heart is breaking right now...just wishing I could hold your hand again, or hug you again, or even receive a butterfly kiss from you again (better yet, a REAL kiss!).
Missing you...
Loving you...
Can't wait to see you again...

The baby.

It hasn't been a year, but I miss you so much. My heart just aches...all the time. I miss our talks, our walks, your hugs, and your butterfly kisses. Until the Lord brings me home, too, I will miss you. I love you, Mommy.
