John Wingfield Gast

JOHN WINGFIELD GAST Gast, John Wingfield, 53, beloved son of Polly Gast of Placentia, died January 27, 2006 of complications with renal disease. John attended The Ohio State University and The California State University, Sonoma where he received degrees in Computer Science and Philosophy. As a freshman at OSU he did original research computing distances between stars. Astrology also interested him. He made charts for a professional astrologer and many friends. His analysis were amazingly accurate about a person's life. His varied interests included geography and current events which affected countries around the world. He could easily name Al-Qaeda members. His sense of humor was legendary, quick with quips and often giving quirky names to friends and himself. John is survived by his mother, Polly Gast his brothers Richard Gast and wife Debbie of Columbus, Ohio; Steven Gast & Elaina of Corona, California; cousins in Santa Barbara, CA., Zanesville, OH., Ormond Beach, FL., and Denver, CO. were also close to him. Services will be held when family members can get together. His blithe spirit and tender heart will be missed.
