Peter Horton Obituary

PETER HORTON HORTON, PETER, of Coronado, CA, died October 22, 2003. Born June 9, 1919 in New Jersey. Served in US Army Air Corps as a pilot in WWII, in the Pentagon during Korean Conflict. Education: Philips Exeter Academy, BS: MIT, MBA: Pepperdine. He was employed by McDonnell-Douglas from 1954 to 1983 as Director of Long Range and Strategic Planning. Then 15 years as a management consultant in the defense industry. He was a 30 year resident of Huntington Harbour, active in HH Yacht Club. Civic Roles: Huntington Beach Chamber of Commerce, HB Transportation Committee, Orange County Measure M Citizens Oversight Committee. He is survived by his wife, Donna; sons, David and Benjamin; two grandsons, Kevin and Daniel; and two daughters from a previous marriage, Deborah and Susan; and grandchildren, Courtlyn, Mark, Debi, and Jennifer. And two great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Coronado Hospital Foundation, 250 Prospect Place, Coronado, CA 92118.
