Richard F. Rusinek, of Anaheim, California, died on Sunday morning, January 2, 2022 at Kaiser Hospital in Anaheim, California. He was born in Washington, Pennsylvania on March 23, 1938, a son of the late Joseph A. Rusinek of Arizona and Catherine Cecilia Rusinek of Anaheim, California. A Catholic by faith, Richard was a long-time member of the Knights of Columbus. Richard attended Clark Grade School and graduated from Washington High School, class of 1956. He went straight into the Army from high school. After the army, he lived in Milwaukee, Wisconsin until he moved back to Pennsylvania in January 1963. Only staying long enough to participate in his sister's wedding he then moved to California in the spring/summer of 1963. Upon arriving in California, he was hired by The Laura Scudder's Company in their maintenance department at their Anaheim plant. He then worked at General Motors (GM) in their maintenance department and became a union representative. He retired from GM after a long-distinguished career. Richard enjoyed going to classic car shows and fishing during his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Faye; two sisters, Barbara Harris and Sandi Wilson; brother, Robert; step son, Tony and his wife Andrea, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m., with a rosary at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 12 at Sunnyside Mortuary, 7651 Commonwealth Ave., Buena Park, CA 90621. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 13 at St. Pius V Catholic Church, 7691 Orangethorpe Ave., Buena Park, Ca. 90621. Reception following at the Knights of Columbus Hall, 8410 Kass Dr. Buena Park, CA 90621. The burial will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, January 14 at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 8301 Talbert Ave., Huntington Beach, CA 92646.
