Robert Newell

Newell, Robert G., 77, of Washington Twp, formerly of Southern California, on passed away on March 28, 2009. Bob, as he was affectionately known, was born and raised in Southern California to Peggy and Guy Amos Newell. In 1950 he joined the US Navy where he proudly served for nearly 4 years. For the past 20 years, Bob has been with his loving wife, Christine in Washington Twp, NJ where he soon became a devout Eagles fan. Bob was known to be a loyal, hard working and well-liked man who will be greatly missed. He spent many days ocean fishing, boating, skiing, playing tennis, dancing and spending time with his family which he treasured. Beloved husband of 17 years to Christine (nee Cunningham); devoted father of Robert Scott Newell (Pamela), Thomas Guy Newell (Nanette), Daniel Adam Newell (Christine Ann) and Connie Kozole (Edward); loving grandfather of Bryan, Tori, Westin, Taryn, Troy, Lauren and Brendon; dear brother of Lois Gordon.
