Sherry was pistol, what a great person. She had a certain charm and humor that no one could match. If she sensed you were upset or something wasnt right, she would ask what the problem was and try to cheer you up. She completed yearly audits at the police department. After each audit, she would thank us for helping her. Even though we were doing our jobs and treated everyone the same. She would go out and buy us a treat , a brownie with ice cream or something to show her graditude. Sherry will be missed. To her children I say, she talked about you often with love and affection. Mike and Tom you have a angel looking over you and your family's.

Sheri was an important part of my Accounting team when I worked for the City of Garden Grove as the Accounting Supervisor. I have wonderful memories ofr those years and the challenges we faced. About 15 years ago when she and I shared an office at the old City Hall, our boss came in and "suggested" that we both learn Excel. We were fearful and nervous at first but we both knew how important it was to maintain an "edge" because we were no longer "young pups". So we began the process and eventually became skilled at the use of Excel spread sheets. This expertise turned out to be invaluable to both of us.
I retired and moved to Northern California early in 2004 so I have not been able to see or talk to Sheri much during these last two years as she battled the ravages of the cancer that was spreading throughout her body. Those times when I did see her and talk with her I was amazed at her courage and especially her humor. I know more than anything she just wanted to be brave, and she was.
Sheri is now in the loving arms of our Lord. I thank him that her journey here on Earth has crossed paths with mine.
