Franklin "Frank" Gintz passed away Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021 from liver cancer. He died in his sleep at home, surrounded by his family.
Frank was an Army veteran who worked as a manager at Northern Specialty Sales for the majority of his career, and then spent his later years before retirement, at The Oregonian. Raised in Portland, he always loved the city he grew up in. His hobbies included golfing, attending the Trail Blazer games, playing poker, traveling with his grandchildren and spending time with his family and many lifelong friends. His huge heart and loving ways will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Arlene; daughters, Rochelle and Wendi; and grandchildren, Avery and Jackson. Frank also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
A celebration of life event will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 12, 2021, at the Summerfield Clubhouse. Summerfield is located at 10650 S.W. Summerfield Drive, Tigard, OR 97224. Family and friends are welcome.

We missed a golden opportunity (in my mind anyway) to have that round of golf, you were finally in my league! Somehow whenever I suggested it, you would give me that "Frank Look" I can´t imagine why!!! Aaaww.. lovely Frank, I miss you

Frank was widely respected . . . a good friend. He will be sorely missed by all of Summerfield.
