Margaret 'Maggie' Ann Knauss
Sept. 3, 1939 - April 11, 2023
Maggie was born in Brandon, Canada Sept. 3, 1939 to parents Perry Parker Knauss and Margaret Helen Goodwin Knauss.
Maggie graduated from Tigard High in 1957 and the University of Oregon in 1961 where she made many lifelong friends. She had an active and fulfilling social life, as well as being a voracious reader. She had many favorites and had a personal library of over 350 books!
Maggie loved dogs and cats. With much pleasure and happiness, she was dedicated to raising her beloved dogs Otto and Porsche, and her misunderstood cat "Pit Run."
She was a very hard worker and a successful entrepreneur in business and throughout life. Maggie was appreciative of the blessings she enjoyed throughout her life, as were we of her presence in ours.
Unfortunately, Maggie was not able to recover from complications from a fall and was struggling with late onset Alzheimer's, however we are all confident that she is happily reunited with her parents again in Heaven. She passed away peacefully April 11, 2023 at the Springs Care Center. A burial will take place at Rive View Cemetery where Maggie will be placed with her parents. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Perry Knauss and Margaret Goodwin Knauss; brothers, Dick Knauss and Harvey Knauss; Maggie is survived by nieces and nephews, Nancy and husband David; Sara; John and wife Wendy; Elizabeth and husband Ken; and Steve and wife Cheryl.
A special thanks to Tenderly Hospice and the Springs Care Center in Lake Oswego where she was a resident, and all those that were caring and compassionate towards Maggie.
She will be remembered for her compassion and fierce loyalty to her closest friends and family. Her legacy will live on through the memories she has created with her friends and loved ones. May her memory be eternal.
