Pam was an absolutely extraordinary person who taught me so much and brought tremendous joy to my life. I met her when I started to board my horse at Sky Ranch. She was a little suspicious of me at first, but as I knew nothing about the trails she allowed me to join her on her ride on her beloved horse Jack. She was the leader and I was the follower except on particular spots on the trail where I could zoom ahead on my horse Klassie. Pam was so funny and honest and smart--I treasured her company. When I would arrive at the ranch and see her car and not find her and Jack in the barn, I would saddle up, head out and call her name until I finally found her! We shared so much laughter, wonderful stories, discussions of our families, politics, barn stories, and the beauty of the world around us. When Jack passed on, Pam leased other horses, who she also loved, but Jack held first place in her heart of all the horses she rode. Pam loved her family, her kitty, her garden, and we had such long, lovely and funny conversations together. Oh my dear friend, I will miss you so much, and I'm honored that you accepted me as your friend.
