Porter Tremain 'Trim' Loud Jr.

Trim was born and raised in San Francisco, Calif., becoming an Eagle Scout by the age of 18. He joined ROTC at New Mexico Military Institute in Roswell and continued his officer training at Cornell University studying Hotel Management. This is where Trim met his wife Cynthia, also a student at Cornell. They soon married. Trim then enlisted in the Army, eventually based at Fort Lewis, Wash., where they had their first child. After his honorable discharge, he accepted a position as night manager at the Stirrup Room in Portland's renowned Multnomah Hotel. Shortly after, Trim accepted a position with Pacific NW Bell where he enjoyed a 33 year career. A golf enthusiast, he achieved a highlight of his life, a "hole in one" while being retired at Charbonneau. They eventually moved back to the Raleigh Hills area where they had raised their family. Trim passed peacefully in his sleep.
Trim is survived by his wife of almost 70 years, Cynthia (Schwalbe). They had four children, Karen Cushman (Chuck), Patricia Amis (deceased), Trim III (Louise), Francine (Jeff); nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
At Trim's request, there will be a private family service.
