Aunt Johanna and cousins, I am so sorry to hear of Uncle Ronnie's passing. I remember the strength and support that you and Ron have given our family when mom passed away and we all offer our prayers and big loving hugs for you and the family. We wish we could have been there but due to circumstances with travel we couldn't have made it happen in time. Just feel in your hearts that we are there in spirit grieving with you. Remember time heals a lot of pain. Love you.

With deep sadness I say goodbye to whom I had the honor and great fortune to meet and who also left me with a divine connection to his family. We have all been touched by his legacy.

Ron had a big heart. I remembered when I first started with the company he gave me a crushing hug and said ' I like think guy, he's short like me!' He was always a good man. My sincere condolences to the entire Rust family.

Our hearts go out to all of the family. Ron will be truly missed by all! He was always a bright light when coming to visit us and called everyone "Smoke". He always had great stories of hunting, work, kids, Doc his Horse and of course Rusty the cute little dog! Ron always had a great punchline to get you to laugh!! Our family has know the Rust family since we were kids thru our Father and Ron's Father. Ron is and will continue to be an icon for the drywall world thru his wonderful family! As well as driving thru Portland and seeing all the buildings he and we had been a part of their creation. Love and strength to all. It has been a pleasure to know "Smoke"!!!

The question asked...how do you know Ron Rust? I would like to think I knew Ron as a friend first but I grew up with him through work at WALSH Construction Co. for 40+ years. He was the life of the room with that huge comical jovial smile. He is greatly loved and will be truly missed very much. Rest in peace my friend! K2

There are people in your life who are memorable and there are those who you will never forget. Ron use to tell stories the way I would like to tell stories. His eyes would light up and you would become mesmerized by the tale being told. Ron truly was a one in a million kind of man. Will miss seeing him but he will always be in my thoughts and prayers.
