Alfred Hackett Obituary

Hackett, Alfred AlAl Hackett, was born in Daretown, New Jersey, Sept. 11, 1937 to J. Wesley and Corina Hackett. After serving in the US Air Force, Al settled in Orlando, Fl. He worked at Martin Marietta, Brant Brothers and later helped to operate the family business, Classic Contractors Unlimited until his death. Al was one of the charter members of the South Orlando Baptist Church where he served in many capacities. His primary interests were the building programs and Regency Christian Academy, where he served as school board chairman for many years. He has always been proud of the continued success of the academy. Al was a leader and was admired by many who served with him. Throughout his life, he remained close to his 9 siblings and their families. Al was married to Carolyn Denham Hackett and they were blessed with two sons, Eddie (Melissa) and Rick. They admired their father and sought his advice on all major decisions. Grandchildren, Kari and Wes (Amanda) Hackett, were the joys of his life. He was fortunate to share in their lives on a daily basis. Al leaves many family members, friends and associates who look up to him with love and admiration. He will be greatly missed. Arrangements are being handled by Robert Bryant Funeral Home and Cremation Chapel, 321 E. Michigan Orlando. Fl. 32806. A memorial service will be held at the South Orlando Baptist Church 11513 S. Orange Blossom Trail Orlando, Fl. 32837 Sunday, March 22. The service will begin at 3:00 followed by visitation with friends and family. My heartfelt condolence to the Hackett Family. I had the pleasure of working with Al during my years at SunTrust. He really played a role in making my job successful during my time in Property Management at SunTrust. We enjoyed many barbeque lunches in Lake County while working on our branches.

Much love to family and Al.....until we all meet again!
