ANGEL TAGUDIN Obituary

TAGUDIN SR., DR. ANGEL L., On Tuesday, April 6, 2010, Dr.
Angel L. Tagudin ("Doc Tag") left this Earth to "make his final rounds." Only 82 years young, he is survived by his children, Lynne Conrad and her children, Andrea Tokan & Michael Conrad, Titusville, FL; Jill Tagudin and her husband and son, Ray & Forrest Culotta, The Woodlands, TX; Mary Benner, Richmond, VA; and Angel L.
Tagudin, Jr. and his wife, Kathy, Winter Park, FL. Other surviving family members include many brothers & sisters and longtime friend, Jackie Conn. Beloved father, brother, friend and family physician, he was born in Manila, lived through the Japanese occupation of the Philippines in WWII and eventually came to the U.S.A. as a doctor pursuing his own "American Dream". He settled in Titusville with his family and built a successful practice as a family physician. He was a big fan of the Space Program (saw every Apollo & Shuttle launch), loved singing & playing music (violin, guitar, piano and harp) and was always eager to learn new things. He was a doctor at Jess Parrish Memorial Hospital for many years before retiring in 1997. Doc Tag believed that "spirituality" was a very personal matter, so his family will have a private service. Friends are invited to post their memories and well-wishes at www.tagudin.com/memorial. Doc Tag's children are very grateful to Jess Parrish Medical Center, Vista Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center and Hospice of St. Francis for all their excellent loving care during the last 6 months. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice of St. Francis.

Dr. Tagudin delivered my dear sister in 1969, when my Dad was working at KSC. She was named "Angela" in his honor, and is living a wonderful life. It's clear that his legacy will continue for many years to come.

I treasure the many years that I shared call with Dr. Tag and worked together as a colleague in the practice of medicine. He always demonstrated excellent knowledge in serving his patients, but I was also always amazed at his wisdom with regard to religion and the bible and the world around us. He shall be greatly missed. I do want to thank the family for allowing us at Hospice of St Francis to be involved in his end of life care. You are in my prayers. Lee Osmon, M.D.

My sincere condolences to the family. I understand the need for privacy but sad that condolences cannot be given in person. Dr. Tag was and still is, my most favorite doctor in my adult life. He was one of the most GIVING physicians I have ever known, and reminded me of my pediatrician when I was young. Dr. Tag was gentle, kind, and truly cared about his patients' well-being. He became my GP in the 70's and remained so until his retirement from private practice. I was truly sad to lose such a wonderful doctor. I also have missed his style of "doctoring." He left no stone unturned and was a pro-active doctor trying to "prevent," as much as to "heal." Dr. Tag would always speak when we met in town, at the ball field, etc. THANK YOU DR. TAG for "caring." You will be sorely missed!!! D. Holden, Tville
