Christopher James Lake

LAKE, CHRISTOPHER JAMES, 43, of St. Cloud, recently of San Diego County, CA, died suddenly in a head- on collision early in the morning of Thursday, Sept. 11, 2003. He was a computer technician employed at Lockheed-Martin and was on his way home from work. Born in Fall River, MA, he resided at Tiverton, RI before moving with his family to California in 1969. He was the son of Robert P. Lake of Borrego Springs and Chula Vista, CA and the late Katherine (Wimer) Lake. Christopher was a graduate of Hilltop High in Chula Vista and Coleman College in San Diego. Besides his computer skills, he enjoyed hand gliding, hiking, kayaking and other outdoor activities. In addition to his father, he is survived by brother Michael R. Lake of Spring Valley, CA; sisters, Janet (Lake) Rinaldi of El Cajon, CA and Barbara (Lake) Topete of Spring Valley, CA; three nephews, two nieces and one grand niece. Services were held in Chula Vista on Sept. 18th. Inurnment will be in Tiverton, RI.
