Doris Cook Obituary

Cook, Doris Early on the morning of November 30, 2015 Doris Eleanor Atkins Cook passed away peacefully in her sleep of natural causes. She was 91 years old. Doris was born in London, England on June 1, 1924. She was educated in London. During World War Two she met and married US serviceman, Richard Monroe Cook. They were married for 61 years. Doris traveled extensively with her husband, and continued to travel when they retired in England. She was a great lover of the arts in all its forms. Reading was a passion she never tired of. She spent her last years in Westminster Towers in Winter Park where she was known for her English accent, sharp mind, and frequent traveling, even going to Russia in October at the age of 91. Doris Eleanor Atkins Cook is survived by her brother David Atkins, three children, Steve Cook, Michael Cook and Maureen Cook, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
