Mrs. Scott was one of the nicest ladies I've ever known. My brothers and I grow up in South Gate and were neighbors with the Scotts, and also Mrs. Scott's mother. The Scotts had a beautiful property behind their home complete with a fish filled pond and a bridge. They allowed us children to play on the property and Mrs. Scott invited us in to her lanai where she would give us a cold drink and visit with us. When I was older and made plans to attend nursing school, she was very encouraging to me! I will not forget the Scotts and their kindness to our family.

Dorothy was a special person to us. She and Joe were wonderful neighbors and friends. She will be missed, but her strong spirit lives on in all who knew her.
