We'll never forget Dr. Jay as our wonderful physician; and dear friend who allowed us to stay with his darling children-as he and Lynn traveled. He was a special and precious person!
May we all find comfort and peace, as we remember your dear husband, father and friend.
Always in our hearts with love,
Chuck and Terri

Dr. Hughes besides being a great doctor was also an excellent musician. The students of Rollins Community School of Music will always remember him for his support of the annual piano Achievement Day event and honors recitals. He loved music and had a great passion for musical education, which he demonstrated in many different ways through the years. He will be greatly missed.

Ephesians 2:10: "...We are created to do good works..." Dr. Hughes certainly did this over his lifetime. He will be greatly missed. Thinking of the Hughes family.

Jay Hughes was our family doctor for many, many years. We were greatly distressed when he retired. But he and I stayed close in recent years when he played the piano and I played the banjo on the Retirement Home Circuit, We played all the old camp songs we older folks all grew up on: Let me call you Sweetheart, She'll be comin' Round The Mountain, I've been working on the Railroad. We had a ball and I think the audience enjoyed it too.
He was a great guy and we'll all miss his enthusiasm, talent and friendship. Lynn will miss him most of all, of course and Renis & I will be thinking of her.

What joyful memories he and banjo-buddy Bill brought to our health center residents with their animated music - all the oldies....

I always appreciated when Richard & David would tell me about the great advice their dad would give. I took much of it to heart!
