It´s hard believe so many years have passed. When I think of Jennifer I remember the last time I saw her. She stopped by my new workplace and we had a wonderful visit. She was in such a wonderful happy place in her life. She was glowing over excitement for her future plans. While our plans don´t always line up with Gods plans for us, it brings me joy to remember her in this moment and the beautiful smile and glow she exuded. She was living a happy life with contagious joy and blessed many just with her presence.

To The Family Of Jennifer Skurow,

I remember coming in to Perkins on Saturday morning after her death. The atmosphere did not seem right. It had a heavy sigh and then one of the staff told me what happened. I was shocked, sadden and filled with grief. I knew Jennifer a long time being a frequent customer. I remember everytime she wore a new hairstyle and when she became night manager. She was so proud of that acheivement, and I was so happy for her. Her work meant everything to her and I still go in every week to Perkins but, no one has been the same. Bridget and I talked on last week and I consoled her because her grief is ever before her. She and Jennifer were close friends and I know the light in Bridget's eyes have gone dim. I pray for the family and the Perkin's family and patrons like myself that one day we will understand better. We know she is with God and family above and I just want to say...Jennifer we all loved you but, God loved you best! Rest dear girl, your work here is over but, a new life has just begun....
Missed always,

My deepest sympathies go out to the Skurow Family and Friends. I am in shock that the Lord has taken such a wonderful person away. I can't say enough about what a truely strong and courages person she was. I didn't get to see her often, but the times we did see each other she had nothing but praise for her family. I can see the smile on her face now as she remembered life at home in the last converstion we had. She had a sweet smile and a kind heart. Jennifer touched many lives and she will be missed.

The world has lost yet another beautiful soul in a time when we need it most. No words can express the sorrow one feels when they lose a loved one. For all that has mourned Jennifer... you are in my prayers. For she was the only person I knew that could find goodness in everyone and everything.

Jennifer was a wonderfully vibrant person that was a joy to work with and talk with. She was a very interesting and intelligent person that did like a good joke. She was some one I could talk to and get good advice from. She will be missed by all. She was the one to call me Rockstar.

With deepest sympathy on the death of your Jennifer. When I heard the name Jennifer Skurow on TV, I prayed it was not my Jennifer. You probably are wondering why I said my Jennifer. Well, I taught her in fourth grade at Men-Riv Elementary School. Jennifer was sweet, kind and compassinate. She was conscientious, eager to learn and made teaching a joy. I still have my fourth grade photo of Jennifer. She wrote her name, 4th grade and age 9 on the back. Again I extend to you my heartfelt condolences.

Jennifer we will never forget you. You worked hard to make ends meet, and still worked even harder. You were my support you Latonya came to the store and you supported my relationship with Freddy. I'm sure Freddy would of liked to see you before this happened but you knew how is military life was like. Our movie conversations will always be with me. When I eat any chocolate I will be remembering you. You were the only one that share the passion with chocolate like I do.

What an incredible loss the world has endured. Since this loss the world has seemed a little more dark and bleak. Remembering all the funny moments, her not so random acts of kindness, and her ability to bring joy to those around her will serve as the light that will conquer over these dark moments. "To touch the soul of another human being is to walk on holy ground." She continues to walk on holy ground, and for that we love and miss you.

I am so blessed to have had "Squirrel" in my life. I look back at the wonderful friendship and the time that we had together, and can't help but have a smile on my face when I think of those good times. She always thought of the little things that would make someone happy, and always went the extra mile to help the ones that she loved. I will miss the times that we had together, but will always keep those memories close to my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with the Skurow family during this tragic time.

To Jennifer Skurow's family: I do know what it's like to lose a loved one at a young age, this offers me a bit of comfort:

Native American Prayer

I give you this one thought to keep; I am with you still, I do not sleep. I am a thousand winds that blow; I am the diamond glints on snow. I am the sunlight on ripened grain; I am the gentle autumn rain. When you awaken in the mornings hush, I am the swift uplifting rush of quiet birds in circled flight. I am the soft star that shines at night. Do not think of me as gone, I am with you still, in each new dawn.
