Our prayers and thoughts are with all of Jerry's Friends and Family at this time. We've done business with Jerry and his company for over 10 years . . . Jerry always treated us as though we were one of his most important customers! We will never forget his care and concern (for us) when a little boy drowned in our pool three years ago. Know that we are deeply sorry for your loss . . . Jerry will truly be missed by us, his friends and family!

It is hard to convey to Jerry's family how much I liked Jerry and how sorry I feel for your loss. It is even harder to talk about Jerry in the past tense as I can still see his vibrant smile and positive attitude. I will miss him and I feel a great loss but this must only be a small fraction of the loss his family and close friends feel. I will continue to do business with Overnight and I know we are all better people because we knew Jerry. God Bless you all.

Amanda, Edith, Carroll, Bryan & Randy,

We just wanted to let you know how very sorry we are for your loss. I have been trying to type this ever since I found out and just could not get it out.

Jerry was a wonderful, upbeat person and always happy, so in love with Amanda and very proud of his family.

Your family came into my life in 1994 when I came to work for Carroll and Edith Smith at Wick’s Printing Company. All of you have left a permanent memory in my heart and have never been forgotten. As our lives changed and we all move on, the friendship that we formed continued. Jerry and I along with my husband shared a common love for cars and that was usually our main topic of conversation.

We moved to North Carolina several years ago and because of our friendship I have continued to do business with Jerry and his company. I was informed today by someone who knew that Jerry was considered a friend. We will miss him but never forget him.

Those who live in the hearts of others – never die.

We love you all and lean on God for strength.

Love to all,

Corky and Cheryl Mitchell

We feel at great lose at this time. Gone is the time with the living, but never will the spirit leave us. And as the wind blows the leaves so will it spread the goodness of this mans heart

Mr & Mrs Smith.

It has been a long time since I have spoken with you or Jerry. If you remember, I was friends with Jerry in middle school at Milwee, and I used to spend many an afternoon with Jerry at your house swimming in the pool.

My mom called me today to let me know about Jerry. To say the least, I was shocked.

I know at times like this words do little to ease the pain, but hopefully this entry brings back reminders of happier times.

Sometimes its not easy to understand the reasoning behind events like this, but just remember what it says in Romans 8:28 - it is in ALL things that God works to fulfill his plan. This includes the good times, as well as the painful times.

My prayers will certainly be with your family over the next several weeks, as well as into the holidays. Prayers for strength, encouragement and peace.
