Jody Heiney-Tibbs Obituary
Heiney-Bowman, Susan Heiney- Pelaquin and her brother Wesley (Bucky) Heiney; her Nephew
Christopher Wise, her Niece CariAnne Wise and her daughter Marley Jane Wise and her Niece Shanda Kersey-Munns and her daughter Sophia Blue Munns. Jody is a member of the Home Builders Assoc of CFL, The Divine Ya-Ya Sisterhood of FL and the Astatula Garden Club. She is also a member of the First United Methodist Church of Tavares, FL and The First United Methodist Church of Hammondsville, OH. Her arrangements were handled with love and care by DeGusipe Funeral Home in Maitland, FL. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday October 6, 2012 at First United Methodist Church of Tavares, 600 W Ianthe St., Tavares, Fl 32778. 11:30 to 1 p.m. Greeting and Visitation, 1 to 2 p.m. Memorial Service to be followed at 2:15 p.m. by a Reception. Jody asked that donations be made in her name to Quality Health Care - Hospice 12751 W. Colonial Drive, Winter Garden, FL 34787 and/or to The First United Methodist Church of Tavares.

Although a casual friend to me in high school, Jody was so well know by most everyone because of her laughter and joy. I enjoyed reconnecting with her through the Broadway events in recent years. She was so instrumental in rejoining lost ORHS alums over the last few years....a wonderful gift she gave to us all. I pray that her family will find peace knowing that she is so beloved by many. For all the many lives that Jody's Beautiful Spirit touched, including mine and Hambones, our hearts are hurting for such a loss of this sister, yaya, daughter, and dear friend.. I am sure she is in heaven making everyone laugh and feel the LOVE she naturally radiated.. It has been a priveledge to have spent memorable quality time with her..since 6th grade.. Helen, Susan, Robin, Jennifer and Bucky: I was shocked when I opened the paper today and saw Jody's obit. Too much time and distance have separated our families. We had such good memories. Jody married Peter and I and we had such fun times coming up with our vows, Jody kept us laughing the whole time. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. I think of your family from time to time and all our good times growing up. Unfortunately, a previous commitment prevents me from attending the services this Saturday, but I would love to see all of you.

I am grateful to to have known Jody and come to love her as a member of my family. I am not alone in this claim but like all of her friends I was made to feel as though I was her one and only. Despite her orders not to stand around and mope, we are a sad bunch. But we will act in accordance with her wishes and celebrate her BIG life and our small part in it . Jody,
I saw you only a couple of months ago and thought Wow, She sure is Pretty. Her Sister too. I knew her from Memorial Jr. High as a lanky blonde with a split between her teeth. I had been over her house a couple of time when I was youger, and then say 40 years slipped away and I got the pleasure to see her on several occasions.There were a lot of people that knew her, and as you can see from the Pics, that She was a character and fun to hang around with , Her family will miss her , but I am greateful that they have lots of memotries with Ya-Ya.
