Joseph Ranalli Obituary

RANALLI SR., JOSEPH A. 76, passed away peacefully on June 16th, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Born in 1934, he was the son of the late Massimino and Anna Ranalli. "Joe" was a longtime resident of Apopka, FL. Originally born and raised in Kennett Square, PA, he was a graduate of Kennett High School and star athlete, to this day his athletic accomplishments and honorable sportsmanship still grace the hallways of the school and are talked about throughout the Kennett Square high school athletic community. His abilities are recorded in print, in a book titled, "A Boy from Center Street", where he was featured in a section titled "Soccer and Joe
Ranalli". He moved to Apopka, FL in 1975 and was a long-time employee at what is now known as Monterey Mushrooms in Zellwood, FL. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ranalli was predeceased by his sisters, Edith Rigler and Josephine Caliguri. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Rosaria Ranalli, as well as four children, Joseph A. Ranalli Jr., Apopka, Anna Ranalli Dolac, (Joe) Altamonte Springs, Michele Ranalli, St. Petersburg, Dianne
Kowalczyk,(Kevin), Apopka; his eight grandchildren, Joseph, III, Dianna and Anthony Ranalli,
Jenna, Lorri and Conner Dolac, Chad, and Taylor Kowalczyk and his sister Dolores Fazio of Kennett Square, PA, as well as many nieces and nephews. Joe was known to all as the man with the heart of gold. Everyone who was lucky enough to have known him was touched by his infectious personality. He was admired by his sense of loyalty to his family and many friends. He had a gift of making a complete stranger feel as though they had been friends for a lifetime. Joe really was "The Perfect Man." a devoted husband, loving father, adoring grandfather, and much admired friend. Words cannot express the impact the loss of this man will have on so many lives, but we find comfort in knowing he is now with our Lord and Savior, enjoying the happy reunion of those loved ones who have preceded him in death. We love you and miss you terribly, but don't worry, you have taught us everything we ever needed to know in your lifetime and we know, without a doubt, that you will be watching us all every step of the way. to be continued when we see you again. A mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 25 at 9 a.m. at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 6803 Old Highway 441,
