Josephine Michael Obituary

MICHAEL, JOSEPHINE RILEY, passed away August 18, 2010 in Webster, Texas. She was born Nov. 10. 1914 in Macon, GA. She was a graduate pf Wesleyan College in Macon, and a member of St Paul's Episcopal Church. She and her two sons moved to Texas when her husband was transferred to Austin in 1953. The family relocated to Orlando, Florida in 1962. In 2007 she moved to Seabrook, Texas to be with family. She enjoyed trips to visit with her family in Georgia, Texas and Missouri, relaxing at Florida beaches, gardening and her bridge club. Her family was her joy. She volunteered at the National Library Service for the blind, typing books in braille. She is preceded in death by her husband, Col. Clifford Michael; parents James Tharpe Riley and Annie Laura LeQuin Riley, and sister, Margaret LeQuin Printup. Survivors include sons, Fredric Toole and wife, Louise; Paul
Michael and wife, Valerie; and grandchildren, Jessica Michael, Christopher Michael and wife,
Sarah Stone. All who knew her, for her kindness, generosity, and strength, loved her. She had a caring, gracious and calm nature. She was a loyal friend, beloved wife and mother, and will be greatly missed by her family. A celebration of her life will be at St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Nassau Bay, Texas, September 4th at 11:00am.
