Kenneth Hamlin Obituary

HAMLIN, KENNETH EUGENE 67, of Casselberry passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2004. Mr. Hamlin was born in Galva, Illinois on April 28, 1937. He served in the Navy aboard the USS Independence. He moved to Florida from Mobile, Alabama in 1971. He was the owner of Hamlin Computer Services. He was active in many Baptist churches in the area. He served as deacon, a treasurer, worked the sound system for the music program. He devoted his time and energy to the youth ministry making a difference in many young lives. He touched everyone's heart and was dearly loved by all. His teasing and playful nature will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Virginia; children, J. Terry Hamlin, CA; Pam (husband, Ben) Jefferies of Melbourne, FL and Chris Hamlin (wife, Michelle) of Clinton, NC; five grandchildren, Justin, RaChelle, Craig, Matthew and Nicholas; and one great- grandchild Laiyne. He is also survived by parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hamlin of Galesburg, IL and brothers Lee Hamlin of Coral Springs, FL and David Hamlin of Vincennes, IN. He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia, and brother Robert. Funeral Services will be 10AM Thursday, August 5, 2004 at Baldwin Fairchild Altamonte Chapel, 994 East Altamonte Drive, Altamonte Springs, FL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 4 from 6-8PM. The service will be lead by Pastor Matt Groce. In lieu of flowers, the family graciously request that donations be made to Heart of Christ Fellowship Benevolent fund, P.O. Box 196185 Winter Springs, FL 32719.
