Linda Miles
Linda Brightwell Miles passed away quietly on April 7, 2021, leaving behind her beloved husband, Steve (R. Stephen Miles, Jr.), their combined five children, Kelly Gaston Lockwood (Dan), Paige Miles Heifner (Bobby), R. Stephen "Sam" Miles, III (Heidi), Dr. Tara L. Gaston and Gabriel E. Gaston (April), along with 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Linda was born in Danville, VA, growing up in Moultrie, GA, Kissimmee and finally Fort Myers, where she graduated from Fort Myers Senior High School. She later attended both Florida State University and Edison Community College, where she earned an AA degree. Linda married Steve in 1975 and moved to Kissimmee, where they raised their family. Linda earned her real estate license and worked for Goodwin Realty for 40 years. Linda and Steve enjoyed family and friends, travelling, playing tennis and attending the various athletic endeavors of their grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Linda will be held at Kissimmee Bay on Thursday, April 29th from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. In honor of Linda, please wear your "coolest" shoes! In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kindred Hospice.
