Marlin Eugene Myers

MYERS, MARLIN EUGENE, died on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at the age of 78. He was a resident at Wesley Health Care Center. Marlin (Gene) was born on May 13, 1934 in York, PA to Robert and Alice Myers. He served in the Army as a Private First Class from April 1, 1953 to March 24, 1956. Marlin married Norma Louise Royer on June 5, 1954. Gene graduated from high school in Pennsylvania and went on to earn his Associates Degree. He worked for Chevron Oil while living in Florida Gene was pre-deceased by his wife Norma, his children Brenda and Jeffrey and his grandson Christopher. Survivors include a brother and sister in Pennsylvania; his daughter who lives in Ballston Spa and a son who lives in Florida. Gene has five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends may call from 4 to 6 PM Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at the William J. A memorial service will be held at 3 PM Sunday, Feb. 10, 2013 at Wesley Health Care Center, 131 Lawrence St. Gene will be buried next to his wife, daughter and grandson in Forest City, FL. His family would like to thank the dedicated staff at Wesley Health Care Center and Community Hospice of Saratoga, specifically those on 3 Victoria.
