Maryann Eberhardt Harr

Maryann Harr Obituary

HARR, MARYANN EBERHARDT, passed away on February 20, 2006 after a long illness. Maryann Violet Eberhardt was born April 7, 1931 in Buffalo, New York, to Martin Milton Eberhardt, Sr. and Marion Bruss Eberhardt. She graduated from Kensington High School in 1949 and attended the University of Buffalo and Millard Fillmore Hospital School of Nursing in Buffalo. She married John William Harr, XII on July 7, 1951. The young couple lived in 14 different cities including Cleveland, OH; Dearborn, MI; Hinsdale, IL; Decatur, GA; Overland Park, KS; Bloomington, MI, and Metairie, LA. Maryann provided invaluable assistance to patients of Dr. Paul Gaines in Metairie, LA from 1974 through 1988, when John and Maryann relocated to Winter Springs, FL. She will be remembered for many attributes, including her strong will, common sense advice and practical approach. Maryann taught her children to have moderation in all things, except love; to always be kind and to find good in all people. Beloved wife of John W. Harr, Maryann is also survived by Diane Frey and husband George; John W. "Jack" Harr Jr. and wife Diane, Patty Matherene and husband Tim; as well as Katherine Harr and partner Josh. Maryann will also be missed by her brother Milton Eberhardt and wife Irene; grandchildren Suzie Frey, Amy Frey, Mike Frey, Melissa Lange and Lindsey Harr, as well as great-grandchildren Brandon and Blake Lange. Friends are invited to attend the viewing on Thursday, February 23, from 6-8PM and the Memorial Mass on Friday, February 24 at 9:30AM. Both will be held in the chapel at St. Stephen Catholic Community, 575 Tuskawilla Road in Winter Springs.
