To the Miller Family:
There is no greater love then for a man to lay down his life for another; something most of us never even consider, yet Deputy Sheriff Matt Miller did this every day of his life. He was a blessing to anyone who crossed paths with him, a treasure to our community who will be dearly missed.
Privileged to observe him in his duties each Sunday evening at our church, Matt was a comforting police presence, attentive, cheerful, helpful, deeply committed to protecting the community he loved, a great example for all of us to follow. Thank you Matt!
May each of you find the precious comfort that God hath made available for such a time as this.
My deepest sympathy & heartfelt prayers go out to you during this time.
John 14:2-3 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.

My husband shared the road with Matt as a fellow traffic, motorcycle police officer for Altamonte. He remembers him fondly and the times during the heat of the summer when they would grab a soda together to try and cool down. He, too, would run radar in the same spot that took Matt's life. As the wives sending them off to work everyday there is always a level of worry that the worst would happen. As you are going through the worst we pray that God will grant you His peace that only He can give through the hardest time.

No words can express the sorrow of Matt leaving way too early. What a dedicated lawman he was. Rest Brother, as Heaven is a better place with you there guarding the Pearly Gates with our Maker. We will see you again. Reunion will be sweet, as God has promised us all.
