Liverani, Nicholas Our loving father, Nicholas Liverani, passed away on Thursday, March 27. Nick leaves behind his loving wife, Carmela, his four children, Donna, Nancy, Stephen and Nicholas, Jr., ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Nick proudly served his country in the US Marines in WW II. Nick was not just our Dad and loving husband. He was our teacher, our mentor, our role model, our best friend and our hero. Born in Brooklyn in 1924, Nick was a self-made man who came from very modest means to become a very successful businessman in NY. Nick was the most generous man you would have ever met. If you were a friend of Nick's you were not just a friend for life, you were family. And if you didn't know Nick, he would make it very easy for you to become one. Even in retirement, Nick continued to give of his time and money to anyone in need. He was a gifted athlete, excellent chef and voracious reader. He always loved to tell (and hear) a good joke and never passed on the opportunity to roll the dice.
