Patrick Turner Obituary

TURNER, PATRICK, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2006. Pat is survived by his wife Beverly, his sons Jimmy and Wesley, his sister Patsy, and his brother Mike. Born on August 15, 1945 in Waycross, Georgia to Agnes and Eugene Turner, Pat was raised in Miami. He was an All-City Linebacker at Hialeah High School in Miami and went on to play football at the University of Tampa on an athletic scholarship where he earned his degree in Business Administration. For the past 32 years, Pat was a successful business owner in the Orlando area. He loved boating with his family, football, stock car racing, playing his guitar, and rock-n-roll. Pat has a huge circle of family and friends, stretching from North Georgia to South Florida. His humor, strength, and love will be sorely missed. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30 AM on March 27, 2006 at Northland Community Church 2610 Hwy 17/92, Casselberry, Florida 32707. Visitation with family will be held after the service at the Longwood Community Center, 200 West Warren Avenue, Longwood, Florida, 32750. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be to Pat Turner Award, University of Tampa, c/ o University of Tampa Athletics Department, 401 West Kennedy, Tampa, FL. 33606.

Dear Bev,

Gerry and I were shocked and saddend by Pat's passing. We remember all the good times- ski trips and boat outings. It's our deep loss that we lost contact over the years.

Please call if there is anything we can do for you, or if you are ever down in South Florida. We summer in Blairsville GA- but are here all winter.

Pat and had known each other for almost 40 years, dating back to the "old Adobe Building Supply" days in South Florida. Pat was a good friend and will be missed by everyone who knew him. Pat should be remembered as a fun loving great person and very proud of his family.

For those of us who knew him, this world won't be the same without Pat Turner in it. He was just the greatest guy! Just thinking of him makes me smile. If you were lucky enough to have him as your friend, you could count that as a real blessing in your life. Pat was such a family man - so very proud of his sons! He was quick-witted and funny, but more than that, he was loyal and true and a man of character.
