God Bless Richard and Peggy, and the family. We are proud to have counted Richard as a friend and we miss him. He will always be in our hearts. I will always remember him driving our tractor all over the yard. I don't think he ever met anyone that he did not make a friend, showed respect to all, and spoke to everyone.

Faye and I will always hold Richard in a special place in our heart and memories. Although it has been many years, almost 20, since we last saw him, it seems as though it was yesterday that he was making us laugh in the face of stress. He always had a way of seeing things through rose colored glasses. We loved him for his simple light heartedness under duress. This world will be a lesser place without Richard Straw. I know he will be an assest and role model for all the other angels to look up to. God Bless you Richard!

Frank and Rebecca Harris wish to send our condolensces. Richard was well liked and Frank still remembers working with him back when it was Martin Marietta Central Procurement. On one of the United Way volunteer days he worked closely with our two sons and he had a way about him. I remember them discussing FSU. :) He definitely had a giving heart and could talk so easily to others. Our prayers are with the family.

We believe that Richard will always be remembered for his kindness and willingness to help anyone. He would go out of his way to make people feel at ease and welcome when first joining the commodity buying center. Richard never had negative comments about others, he always had a kind word to say about everyone. He was a true gentleman and a dear friend who will be missed.

Richard will always be remembered as the man who helped my husband and I prepare for our daughter going away to college. We served together at Northland on Sunday mornings and most weeks he'd have a tip about what to do while she was still in High School, then what to do when we actually made the trip with her to college. When the moment came to leave her at her new college home, we felt confident because of Richard's preparation. Our daughter graduated from College this Spring and Richard was ready with tips for her to move forward with a Master's Degree. Peggy... thanks for sharing Richard with us. I will never forget the kindness shown by both of you. All my love, Karen

I was blessed to know Richard; as he was one of the most caring and considerate men I have ever known in my life. He always had a smile on his face and put others first. I am so sorry for your loss Peggy.

Love you,

Bill
