I wish I could say that I knew you personally, but I never had the pleasure of meeting you. Priscilla always talked about what an amazing man you were and how much you loved God. That was made evident while listening to your friends and family speak at your beautiful memorial service. It is clear to me that you are rejoicing with our Lord and Savior. Thank you, sir, for being vigilant in sharing the gospel. I will continue to pray for comfort for those waiting to reunite with you. May your life continue to inspire others to seek God.

Papa, I have so many memories of you from me as a young child to a mother and wife. As a child that little house on Carpenter Ave was like a second home. One fond memory was when I was about 7 years old and Pris and I wrote all over a whole pile of sticky notes and plastered them all over your fridge, things like "we love you" etc written on them. About ten years later walking into that same kitchen and those notes were taped to your fridge, you never took them down . I remember when Brayden was born and shortly after little Kinley came along and you sat with Pris and I and talked about how important these little precious gifts were and of course gave us the best advice on parenting. Somehow no matter what the conversation was about it always ended with a lesson or scripture from the bible. I used to gaze at you while you taught us, you have the most captivating voice. You looked like a tough cowboy but when you spoke you captured the attention of everyone around you. You never lead us in the wrong direction, often gave us advice we didn't want to hear but knew you were right. You cared, not only about your family but anyone you came into contact with. You always made me feel special, and we never left your house without a sweet kiss and an I Love You Papa! You had such a huge impact on your daughters, your grandchildren and myself. I am blessed to have been part of your family and blessed to have had those many talks with you. you will forever be missed. We love you Papa.

Ron was my 1st cousin on his mother's side. I have fond memories of playing together as kids on visits. My heart is so sad, but he is now free of his misery, and that is comforting. I will so miss him. Sending love to family.

You were such a big part of my childhood and you taught me so much. As time went on I was blessed once again by you being a big part of my children's lives and the many things you taught them and the wonderful memories they have of you. Thank you for the kindness you showed us all along with all of the lessons of life as well. The world has definitely lost a great man but heaven has gained a strong and loyal angel to stand along side God and watch over us all.

Ronnie was such a special man. He was an authentic southern gentleman. I will always remember his smile and will miss seeing him in church on Sunday mornings. Everyone that knew him knew he had a love for God and for his family. I know you all will miss him, but know that he will be missed by many of us. When I remember Ronnie, it will be just as I remember my own Pappy, in his blue shirt with a smile on his face. RIP Ronnie, much love to his family during this very sad time... But we know He is rejoicing with his Lord.

My family and I have lots of great memories of Ronnie and his family to treasure. We are all saddened to lose a good, long time friend but we know he is where he has prepared himself to be. He was a good Christian man who always stood strong in his faith and beliefs. I always respected and admired him for those qualities. I first met Ronnie around 1958 at Charlie Brown's race track in Forrest City where we were learning to be jockeys. Our friendship has continued for close to 60 years. There were times we would lose contact for a while but he was always the same when we talked or got together. I could always count on him for some tall tales and he could always make me laugh. Our thoughts and prayers are with all his family....farewell old friend.

Ronnie was a wonderful friend many years ago. We drifted apart as many do over the years. I remember one time when we went frog gigging at the old clay pit in pine hills, right off silver star Rd.
I remember being up to my neck in the water and Ronnie out front , literally flipping snakes with his gig away from us as we crossed the pond. He never flinched or said a word, he gigged more than me but we got a sack full. I remember we came to my house for frogs and eggs about 2 am. We dumped the frogs in the kitchen sink and they jumped all over the house. We ran around like crazy gigging them again. It was probably the most fun I ever had without alcohol being involved.

Papa.... There will never be another like you. The thought of you not being here, aches my heart. I will terribly miss you. I already miss you. I'm selfish wishing you would stay with me. But I know God gave us precious moments preparing us to let you go. I hope you know how much I adore you. God has released peace over me, because I know exactly where you are. And thank you for making it clear. Because of that, I know I WILL see you again in Heaven with our Heavenly Father. Until then I'll be missing you. I love you so much. I can't wait to see you again.

Nancy, Amy and Missy, my heart is so heavy with grief, yet rejoicing with you knowing that one day we will all be reunited. My life was forever changed by the generosity of you and your dad, Ronnie. What a fellow and forever a cowboy. The scriptures in Philippians 1:3 says " I thank my God for every remembrance of you" and Isaiah 40:31 tells his story. He has reacquainted himself with many loved ones that paved the way.

Praying for the family at the loss of such a great man. I know your hearts are heavy but I also know that heaven is rejoicing. Through the tears may you also smile knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. His legacy is great and shall live on in the generations to come. He impacted many lives. May God carry you all through these difficult days and those to come.
