Virginia Fonseca Obituary

FONSECA (WALDRON), VIRGINIA "GINNY", Ginny passed away peacefully in the loving home she shared with her son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Mary Waldron, in Orlando on September 4th. She was born to Leonard and Leah Fentzlaff in East Orange, New Jersey on March 19, 1919. She worked for Orange County Mental Health Assoc. for over 23 years before retiring as a Mental Health Social Worker, having proudly attained that title after working her way up from secretary. She retired from the County in 1985 and moved with her 3rd husband, Harry Fonseca, to her beloved condo on the beach where she spent the last 20 years of her life looking out at the waves and ocean where she had dreamed of one day living. She is predeceased by her husband of 15 years, Harry Fonseca, also of New Jersey. She is survived by son Fritz Schunck (Alexis), Greensburg, PA; daughter, Leslie Fonseca (Bob), Orlando, FL; son, Ron Waldron (Mary) of Orlando, FL; 3 step-daughters, Carol Owen, Sue Norrell and Barbara Eberle, all of New Jersey. She is, also, proudly survived by her loving granddaughter, Lori Carson (Brooks) of Osprey, FL; and one grandson, Drake Schunck (Jana) of Dallas, TX. In addition she is survived by niece, Kathy Barraclough (Brad) and grandniece, Alexa Crosby, all of Orlando. In addition to being predeceased by her mother, Leah, she is also predeceased by four sisters, Helen Boyce, Gloria Sellers, Jean Siggins and Betty Preston. The six of them are now all sitting, as always planned, on rocking chairs overlooking the ocean! She is also survived by a great number of nieces and nephews and dear and loving friends. Ginny never had an unkind word for anyone. She will be dearly missed by everyone she met. A small memorial service and gathering of close friends and relatives will be held on October 6th at 3PM in Daytona Beach Shores. All Faiths Funeral, Orlando is handling the cremation. For information regarding the memorial please e-mail [email protected]. Flowers will be accepted and received at Seychelles Condominiums, 3855 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach, FL 32118. Mom, we love and miss you, and thank you for everything you did for us.

Dear LuLu, Brooks, Fritz and family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I feel priviledged that I got to meet her once when she stayed with LuLu & Brooks. I could tell right away she was a special lady and a real sweetheart. Her jovial smile lit up the room. Though our meeting was brief, her warmth will never be forgotten.
You are Blessed to have had her in your lives, and I was Blessed to meet such a lovely soul.

With love & deepest sympathy,

Richard & Pat Beeman

Dear Leslie, Bob, Lulu, & Brooks, Fritz, Ron and Family,

Your loss is our loss too, we loved her very much. She (Ginny Girl) will be missed by all who had the privilege and pleasure to know her.

We laughed, we kicked up our heels, we fell or should I say slid down so very gracefully and then laughed some more. Oh, what fun we had, and now we are sad. We know where you are looking down from high above still watching God's beautiful ocean and those you have left behind.

SHE IS WITH THE LORD OUR GOD!

Love,
Richard (Doc) and Pat

Ginn was always there to be a grandmother to me after Helen passed away. I've always appreciated that, but never told her. I wish I had gotten up the courage to do so. I'll miss her leopard pants, her laugh, and sharing March as our birthday month!

Granny was a very wise and special person She was always happy, particularly when she was surrounded by her family at the beach. She so looked forward to having Lori come over to the beach and stay with her. Lori spent many hours watching "Lifetime" movies with her and doing her hair and makeup. Those memories will live on forever!
I will never forget her stories and her delicious taco dinners she would prepare. She named me, "The Goulute" because I loved her cooking and ate so much of it.
Live in eternal peace and happines Gran, our memories of you will never die. Give a big "hug and kiss" to Pop for me and look in on all of us from time to time.

All my love,

Brooks

Dear Les, Bob and Family,
It is good to know your Mom is in a better place. Although we never got to meet her, we heard more than once what a great, great lady she was, always full of life and always spreading the happiness to everyone she crossed paths with. You are in our thoughts.
