JAMES HAGGERTY James Edward Haggerty, 68, of Luzerne, passed away on Wednesday August 9, 2023, at King's Nursing and Rehabilitation. James was born on August 24, 1954, in Pontiac, Michigan to Lowell and Mary (Machinsky) Haggerty. After graduating High School in 1972, he honorably served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army. Following his service, Jim worked as a Floor layer for the remainder of his career. Moving to the Mio area, he enjoyed his retirement until his illness took hold. He and his brother, Tim, were placed in King's Nursing and Rehabilitation together. They were very lucky to spend that time with each other before his passing. Jim was a loving father, brother, son and friend. He will be remembered and missed by so many. Surviving James Haggerty are his Daughter, Katelyn (Daniel) Nieboer; Sister, Joylynn (Jim) Gibbs; Grandchildren, Naaman and Philippa Nieboer. He is further survived by many other loving family members and friends. James was preceded in death by his Parents, Lowell and Mary Haggerty; and Siblings, Timothy Haggerty and Laurel Blair (Haggerty). There are no formal services scheduled for Jim at this time.
