Shirley Yvonne Loveless

Shirley Yvonne Loveless of Oscoda passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Rolling Acres Adult Foster Care Home in East Tawas, age 83 years.
Shirley was born on Dec. 15, 1930 in Hudson to Carl E. and Theresa A. (Brantmeyer) Truman. She was a strong woman who had a warm and caring heart. Shirley stayed at home during her younger years to raise her children and care for the family home.
She will be remembered for her passion and interest to play Bingo and Yahtzee. She also truly enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting, and just being outdoors working in her yard.
Shirley was an active member of Hope St. John's Lutheran Church and volunteered many countless hours with church functions. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Oscoda, and a volunteer at the Clothing Pantry in Oscoda. Shirley will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving children, David Loveless of Oscoda, Christine (Jim) Hart of Oscoda, Christopher (Linda) Loveless in Grand Forks, N.D. Keith (Pam) Loveless of Reno, Nevada and Samantha (Jim) Kiblinger of Clearwater, Fla.; son-in-law, Franklin Curley of Oscoda; 18 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two sisters, Marcia Harvey of Jackson and Carma Jean Housler of Adrian; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, William Loveless; and a daughter, Nadine Curley.
Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 12 at noon at Hope St. John's Church in Oscoda. Her family will welcome friends at the church on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral. Interment in Oscoda Pinecrest Cemetery will take place immediately following the funeral service. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are encouraged to consider the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) fund in her honor.
