Mary Thomas Obituary

Mary J. Thomas, 83, passed away peacefully at her home, on October 11, 2025, doing what she loved, tending to her flowers, and anxiously waiting for two of her favorite sports teams to play, the Badgers and Brewers.

Mary was born in Chippewa Falls, WI, on October 29, 1941. She was adopted at birth to Alois and Margaret (Trueblood) Mc Gillivray. She married Roger Thomas on October 28, 1961. They spent many years together, enjoying sports, snowmobiling, and being "up north" at their cottage. Mary enjoyed working as a hairdresser for 30 years, and many of her clients became lifelong friends.

Mary was an avid sports fan, gardener, and birder. As those of you know, she cherished her family, loved ones, friends, and neighbors. She will be deeply missed.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Lisa Thomas; and is preceded by her parents; and her husband, Roger Thomas.

In keeping with Mary's wishes, there will be no service. If you wish, please consider honoring Mary by making a donation in her name to the Oshkosh Area Humane Society.

Seems like yesterday when we met in the grocery store and promised to get together SOON! Don't put things off as tomorrow may not come. Lots of great memories, so many laughs. She was a special gal and I'm sure her wings are as BEAUTIFUL as she was! You are in my thoughts and in my prayers Lisa.
