Jeanine was born on July 19, 1941, at Ransom Memorial Hospital in
Ottawa, Kansas, to Kenneth and Leona Coffman. She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1959 and went on to attend House of Heavilin Beauty College in Kansas City, Missouri.
On April 9, 1960, she married the love of her life, Ronald Gene Berrier. Ronnie and Jeanine met at beauty school, where Jeanine often served as Ronnie's model at hair shows. Together, they built a family rooted in love, hard work, and faith.
Jeanine and Ronnie were blessed with two children: Michelle Lea and Brett Arlen. She was a devoted mother and later a proud grandmother and great-grandmother, finding her greatest joy in her family.
Jeanine retired from AT&T (formerly Southwestern Bell), where she worked faithfully for many years and remained active in the Pioneer group. During her retirement, she served on the City of Wellsville's Planning Committee and generously volunteered her time to numerous organizations throughout her life.
In 1998, Jeanine fulfilled a dream by opening Back to Basics in Wellsville, Kansas. There she combined her many hobbies and passions, offering quilting classes every Tuesday evening and filling the shop with treasures and unique items for all to enjoy. It was not only a store but also a gathering place that reflected her love of creativity, community, and friendship.
Inspired by one of her grandmothers, Jeanine entered the Catholic faith in 1997 and became a devoted member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Mission, Kansas.
Jeanine had a vibrant personality and a wide range of passions. She loved her familyboth two-and four-leggedsewing, quilting, Native American history and heritage, and collecting treasures of all kinds. She had a gift for making others feel welcome, never knowing a stranger and always ready to lend a hand, offer encouragement, or listen with compassion. Her spunky spirit, selflessness, and ability to embrace others with love will be remembered by all who knew her.
Jeanine was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Gene Berrier; her parents, Kenneth and Leona Coffman; and her son, Brett Arlen Berrier.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Matt Buzzard of Shawnee, Kansas; her granddaughters, Heather (Bryant) Lipari of Lee's Summit, Missouri; Natalie (Tyler) Powell of Shawnee, Kansas; and Grace Buzzard of Shawnee, Kansas. She also leaves behind her cherished great-grandchildren, Brooklyn, Annabella, and Luca Lipari; Julian, Easton, and Sutton Powell; and Lane Buzzard, as well as many cousins and dear friends who became like family.
Jeanine's life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and faith. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love and gratitude.
