Anthony C. "Tony" Banules
Anthony C. "Tony" Banules, age 94 of Sanford, passed away on Wednesday January 29, 2025 at Meridian Acres Assisted Living in Sanford.
The son of the late Charles and Martha Banulis was born in Detroit on October 14, 1930. As a member of Our Lady of Grace (St. Agnes Catholic Church), he had been an usher, lector and Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Tony was a very active member of the Sanford Senior Center where he would organize many casino trips, had served in many board capacities and loved playing cards. On July 8, 1950, Tony married the former Irene T. Fish and after almost 67 years of marriage she died on April 30, 2017.
Surviving are his daughters, Linda Mousseau of Yorba Linda, CA, Kathy (Mike) Ordiway, of Midland; grandchildren, Ken Mousseau, Cherice Mousseau, Suzette Mousseau, Danielle (Jacob) Ridley, Katrina (Paul) McLaughlin, Ryan (Jen) Wall, Tony (Amanda) Wall, Ali (Larry) Sledz, Anthony Banules, Emily (Kyle) Scappaticci; 19 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kelly Banules. In addition to his parents and wife, Tony was preceded in death by sons, Anthony W. (Nancy) and Charles L. Banules.
Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Sanford with Fr. Dan Fox, OFM, Cap officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery. Family will receive guests at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be directed to Sanford Senior Center.
