Charles Glynn Jr.

Charles Glynn Jr., 81, of Midland, died Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Brookdale Sterling House. He had retired from the Midland County Road Commission and had been the sexton of the Homer Township Cemetery for many years. Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and time he spent involved with 4H activities. Upon retirement, Charles sat as a trustee on the Homer Township Board for many years.

Charles is survived by his children, son, Richard (Rhonda) Glynn of Midland; and daughters, Ruth Ann (Ben) Burns of Merrill and Rosie (Eddie) Burkholder of Oklahoma; grandchildren, John Feathers Glynn, Matthew Glynn, James (Kaysey) Brabaw III, Robbie (Crystal) Brabaw and Krystal Kruger; great-grandchildren, Justine Brabaw, Jessica Brabaw, Chloe Brabaw, Hunter Brabaw and Connor Moppin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lester and Donald Glynn; and by sisters, Ruth Tweedie and Charlotte Heikkila.

Charles' family wishes to extend their gratitude to the level of care received from the staff at Brookdale. From the beginning they were made to feel like family and considered everyone encountered as part of their family.

Funeral and committal services for Charles will take place 2 p.m., Wednesday, June 3, 2015, from the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 W. Wheeler St. Interment will be in Homer Township Cemetery. Charles' family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Hospice of Michigan.
