FUNERAL HOME

Dwight Stark Obituary

Dwight Rodney Stark passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 24, 2013, surrounded by family and friends.

A life-long resident of Homer Township, Rodney was a builder, avid hunter, and fisherman. Among his many accomplishments, two of his favorites were a hole in one at the Currie Golf Course and his 100th deer at age 85.

In his retirement, his passion for woodworking enriched his life and those around him. His handcrafted pieces can be found in the homes of his friends and his family.

Dwight is survived by his wife of 67 years, Betty; his sister, Coralie Draves; his daughters and their husbands, Gaylee and Richard Dean and Renee and Rocky Boschert; his grandchildren, Whitney and Megan Dean, Ellee and Porter Hayes, and Drew Boschert; and three great-grandchildren, Madeline, Elora, and Bode. His humor and his strength will be missed by all.

A gathering for family and friends will be held, Thursday, August 1, 2013, from 5-7 p.m., at the family home on Yendor Court in Midland.

Any donations may be sent in his name to Hospice of Midland or The Chippewa Nature Center of Midland.

Arrangements for Rodney have been entrusted to the care of the Ware-Smith-Woolever Funeral Directors, 1200 W. Wheeler Street.
