Edward Torres
Carl Edward Torres of Midland, MI passed away in the early afternoon hours of December 26th 2022 at the age of 82. He was born on July 18,th 1940 to his parents the late Carl and June Torres in Midland.
Ed retired from Dow Chemical in 1997, after working there for 25 years. While at Dow he worked in several areas including Security, and a Plant Manager of the Research and Development area.
He loved his MSU Spartans from where he graduated in 1964. He also greatly enjoyed woodworking, fly fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was especially fond of traveling with his late wife Lloya to Las Vegas, Alaska, and the Bahamas.
If you ever met Ed, you were a better person because of it as he always had a great story and some wisdom to share. He was loved by many as he was a very selfless man.
Ed was preceded in death by his late wife Lloya in December of 2021 whom he was married to for 58 years and he is survived by his Son Steve (Amy) Torres, Grand Children Kenadee Torres, Macy Doster and Brother Bill (Riva) Torres.
The family has chosen to have a small private gathering to celebrate Ed's life. . In lieu of flowers, those considering an expression of sympathy in Ed's name are asked to consider a memorial contribution to Toni & Trish Hospice House 4699 11 Mile Rd. Auburn Michigan 48611

Ed, his brother Bill were the big kids across the court on Hannah Court during my childhood. I always looked up to him and hoped to be like him when I grew up. My condolences to the entire Torres family. You lost a fine father, brother, grandfather.
