Georgia Ann Peters, 57, of Beaverton, passed away after a long illness, on Tuesday, Oct. 19, 2010, at MidMichigan Medical Center-Midland. She was born on March 31, 1953, in South Bend, Ind., to George and Clara (Buchmann) Young.
Georgia married Delbert "Rob" Peters on Aug. 9, 1971, in Niles. She lived in Gladwin County for the last 33 years, previously residing in Niles, and was employed at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics in Beaverton. Georgia loved playing bingo and going to the casino.
Georgia is survived by her husband, Delbert "Rob" Peters of Beaverton; son, Brian Peters of Coleman; daughter, Tina Peters of Beaverton; three sisters, Roseanna (Jerry) Lashuay of Battle Creek; Catherine (Steve) Kiste of Cassopolis; Rebecca (Marvin) DeFore of Detroit; several nieces and nephews; and she will be greatly missed by her extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents; and infant daughter, Julie.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held on Friday, Oct. 22, 2010, at 2 p.m., at the residence of Tina Peters, 4911 W. Lang Rd., Beaverton.
