Glenn Preston
Glenn William Preston 94 passed away Tuesday October 12th, 2021 following a brief illness. He was born in Bay City July 15th, 1927 to the late William and Ethel (Frank) Preston. Glenn was a graduate of Bay City Central High School Class of 1946. He attended Bay City Junior College earning a certificate in Electrical Technology. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps and was trained in electronics. He was stationed in the Philippine Islands until his honorable discharge. He is survived by his wife Estelle Weismiller-Preston. Glenn and Estelle were married on June 30th, 1990 in Midland Michigan where they kept a home for 31 years. Glenn will be remembered for his love of gardening, golf, all things electrical, as well as his meticulous organizational skills. He was a member of St John's Lutheran Church in Midland where he was active on several committees
He is survived by his children; Gary (Diane) Preston, Rodney (Jeanne) Preston, Tamara (Bruce) Gallemore, Jeffrey (Christina) Preston, Edward (Diane) Weismiller, John Weismiller, James (Kimmie) Weismiller, Cheryl (James) Reaume. Glenn and Estelle have thirteen grandchildren; Jamie Preston, Ashley (Tom) Holmes, Scott (Amy) Preston, Jennifer (Brian) Techlin, Donielle (Gumaro) Obregon, Michelle (Jimmy) Vercher, Aaron (Kirsten Gloria) Preston, Brandon (Rowan) Preston, Stephanie (Michael) Harvey, Edward Weismiller Jr., John Weismiller, Matthew Weismiller, Luke Weismiller, and twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Theo, Lois, & Betty and three brothers Harold, Melvin, & Merrill. He is survived by sister-in-law's Shirley, Carol, & Judy. He was preceded in death by brother-in-law's Glenn, Alan, and sister-in-law Karen.
Arrangements are with Smith-Miner Funeral Home, Midland. A Funeral Service, following cremation, will be held Tuesday October 19th, 11am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Midland, with Pastor Danial Kempin presiding.
In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider St. John's Lutheran Church.
