Joseph Meinhardt Obituary
Joseph Randall Meinhardt, age 83, of Crystal, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, September 13, 2023.
Randy, as everyone knew him, graduated from The Ohio State University with his Doctor of Dental Surgery and spent his career as a dentist in Midland. He was a member of the American Dental Society, the Michigan Dental Society, and a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Carson City. In high school, Randy was the quarterback for North High School and also played basketball. Throughout his life he also enjoyed golfing, water skiing, snow skiing, and playing the piano.
Surviving Randy is his wife of 52 years, Carol; daughter, Tracie (Bradford) Todd of Commerce Township; son, David (Anna) Meinhardt of Alpena; grandchildren, Zoe Todd and Mia Todd, both of Commerce Township, Reid Meinhardt and William Meinhardt, both of Alpena; and his brother, James (Sandra) Meinhardt of Crystal.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Marjory (Wood) Meinhardt; brother, John Meinhardt; and sister, Judith Ross.
Randy's life is being celebrated with a memorial service beginning at 11 AM on Saturday, September 30th at the First Baptist Church of Carson City Fellowship Center (10204 E. Carson City Road, Carson City).
For those wanting to make a memorial donation in Randy's memory the family suggests you direct them to either the Fellowship Baptist Academy, Doctors Without Borders, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Dear Carol,
We are deeply saddened by the news about the death of Randy. We are so very sorry. This must be a very difficult time for you and your family. Please remember that you are in our thoughts and our prayers.
Randy was such a kind soul, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was the best neighbor you could wish for. Randy took always time to stop and say `hello´. We loved to take a little break from yard work and talk about news, the kids, ...
If we needed anything, we know we could count on Randy. He was so generous and lent us many tools and his time.
The photo shows Randy and Carol visiting my daughter Rebecca´s High School play Shrek. She loved it that they came and watch her.

Carol, Tracie, David and Family - my heart is aching for your loss. Dr. Meinhardt was one of the kindest and gentlest men I know. I wish I could have had one more conversation with him on the deck at the lake and he could have given Calvin one more pat on the head. I´m holding space in my heart for you.
