Polly Ann McKimmy, age 64, of Coleman, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, after a battle with cancer. She was born on April 26, 1961, to Stephen and Patsy Balakovich, in Clare. On October 16, 1982, Polly married the love of her life, Philip McKimmy, and together they shared many years filled with love and cherished memories.
Polly was employed with MyMichigan Health for 33 years. Throughout her tenure she excelled in her leadership role as a Practice Manager. She was a mentor and was always willing to help anyone and everyone around her.
Polly had a passion for flowers and enjoyed the peace she found in gardening. She loved going on bike rides and attending concerts with Philip. Polly also enjoyed going to the beach, her happy place. Above all, she treasured her family and the time she spent with them.
She is survived by her husband: Philip; children, Chance (Jessie) McKimmy and Krystle (Dani) McKimmy; granddaughter, Grace; siblings, Julie (Gary) Wright and Howard Balakovich; sister-in-law, Yvonne Balakovich as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Stephen R. Balakovich.
Honoring her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11 a.m. at Grace Community Church in Beaverton. Visitation will take place on Friday, January 9, 2026, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Beaverton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Community Church in Beaverton and Gladwin County Pride.
