After a brave battle, the fight is over. Robert "Bob" Louis Jaime of Midland passed away August 17, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was born June 14, 1947 in Saginaw, son of Beatrice (Cisneros) Furtaw and the late Robert Jaime. Bob was an unselfish man and never complained, qualities that aided him as he served with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Bob loved deeply and shared this with his wife Michaele and the family they had together. He was a devoted teacher and coach through his years with Saginaw Public Schools and thrived on being able to help others, especially children. Bob was stoic, dependable, compassionate, and forgiving, characteristics his children will be proud to carry on to future generations.
Bob's legacy will be carried on by his wife, Michaele (Marsh) Jaime; children, Zachary, Jessica, Isaiah, Jacob, Geraldo, Rob, and Andrea; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving mother, Beatrice Furtaw and five brothers. In addition to his father, Bob was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Inez Jaime.
The funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 3109 Swede Avenue, with Father Rob Howe officiating. Bob's family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers and plants, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Shelterhouse of Midland.
