William Johnroe Obituary
William L. Johnroe, 70, of Midland passed away on June 21, 2022 at My Michigan Health. He was born Bay City on August 8, 1951 to the late Arthur and Agnes (Lapan) Johnroe. He married Kathleen Beden on May 19, 1973 at First United Methodist Church and the shared 49 years together.
William served his country honorably in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked for the Midland Public Schools and Midland Academy. William was an active member of First United Methodists Church where he ushered for 25 years, helped re-do the organ and enjoyed coffee with the Geezer Club. William liked to go bowling, golfing and was a Nascar enthusiast. Elliott was his driver! He loved time with family and friends and will be sorely missed.
William is survived by his wife Kathy, siblings Art (Char) Johnroe, JoAnn Burnham, Rosemary Ribble, Fred Johnroe, Alice Davidson, many nieces and nephews and his very special furry friend Hershey Kiss. He was predeceased by his siblings, Jim Davidson and sister Maggie, his in-laws Jack and Maxine Beden and brothers-in-law Kenneth Burnham and Tom Ribble.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jung Eun Yum officiating. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Thursday from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Midland City Cemetery.
Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider First United Methodist Church, the Midland Humane Society or the National Diabetes Association.
